Our Purrenting Journey
Stefanie’s Story:
Hi, I’m Stefanie, mother of 5—2 of which have 4 legs and meow when hungry. I often get asked how I manage to get 2 cats and 3 small children to get along. My answer is lots of patience, training, and love. And I’m sharing my methods right here for those who want to do the same because the undeniable, irrevocable fact is, there’s always room for a cat (or several) in any family.
Carly’s Story:
Hello, fellow cat slaves! Carly here! Those who’ve known me a while will say that I was always a crazy cat lady in the making. And with my only human child off to college, I’ve finally decided to embrace my truth. In addition to my first rescue, Lucius Cornelius (still spry at 10 years old), I have since added 4-year-old Tacoma, 2-year-old Sheba, and 4-month-old Demi Lovato (don’t ask).
All of my babies (except the human one) are rescues, so let’s not talk about breeds here. In fact, I’m a firm believer that it’s not the breed that makes the cat. And if you want to be the best purrent you can be, you’ll love them, mange and all. (But no, my cats really don’t have mange.)
